Large Housing Complex at 2263 Calle Del Mundo in Santa Clara Lands New Funding

A new housing development located at 2263 to 2303 Calle Del Mundo in the South Bay city of Santa Clara recently secured a major new loan to aid in the property’s construction. Developers Ensemble Real Estate Investments and Rethink Development originally brought the project before community review in 2019, but are still short of construction. The new infusion of 150 million is expected to help see the project forward.

Expedited Townhome Project Breaks Ground at 300 Redding Road in Campbell

A new townhome project broke ground last week on a small project site located at 300 Redding Road in Campbell, Santa Clara County. The groundbreaking of this project marks the first construction implemented using a 2023 California state law allowing the fast-tracking of this type of development.

The Sunnyvale Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans next Monday for a potential eight-story apartment complex at 1215 Bordeaux Drive in Sunnyvale’s Moffett Park neighborhood. The proposal seeks to replace a former Google-occupied property with more than 200 apartments. The Texas-based real estate firm, Beam Reach, is listed as the project applicant.

Site development permits have been filed for a fully affordable apartment complex at 860 West San Carlos Street in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project is looking to add nearly three hundred units to a seven-story complex just a few blocks away from Diridon Station. Swenson is listed as the project developer and design architect.

Preliminary Plans Filed for 910 Webster Street, Palo Alto

Preliminary plans have been filed for a six-story residential complex at 910 Webster Street in the University South neighborhood of Palo Alto. The project is looking to replace an existing low-slung apartment complex with 70 apartments, including some affordable units. Carrasco & Associates is responsible for the application, filing on behalf of the property owner, Cloverleaf Corporation.

Housing Development Approved for 315 Las Animas Avenue in Gilroy

Architectural and Site Review Permits have been approved for a new development at 315 Las Animas Avenue in Gilroy. The project, entitled Park 315, is an ambitious plan to add 530 new units to the site. The listed owner, Gandolfi Investments, has used the ‘Builders Remedy’ application to justify the scale of the project, and approximately 106 of the units are to be designated for low-income housing.

CEQA Notice of Exemption Filed for Townhomes Project at 845 Stewart Drive in Sunnyvale

A Notice of Exemption was filed for the proposed project at 845 Steward Drive, bringing the site closer to construction. The planned development would bring 28 new townhome-style condominiums to Sunnyvale. Developers City Ventures are responsible for the project.

Construction Permits Issued for a Portion of the CityView Plaza Project in San Jose

Last week, construction permits were issued for initial work on the 185 Park Avenue parcel at CityView Plaza in San Jose. The permit will allow construction to begin on the eight-story structure, consisting of ground-floor retail and a multi-story parking garage. SF YIMBY initially reported on initial site demolitions and preparations in August of 2025, and the new approval marks steady progress for the project.

Environmental Review Published For Gilroy Civic Center Master Plan

The Environmental Impact Report has been published for a plan to reimagine the Civic Center masterplan in Gilroy, Santa Clara County. The plans would replace the existing city hall and several other structures to produce a cohesive campus for the municipal government. ELS Architecture and Urban Design is responsible for drafting the master plan, with SWA working as the landscape architect.

Meeting Scheduled for Monday February 9th to Discuss a New Townhomes Proposal at 1313 South Wolfe Road in Sunnyvale

A new proposal could bring 30 units of townhome-style housing to the South Bay City of Sunnyvale. The site located at 1313 South Wolfe Road would span an area currently occupied by a Wendy’s, its parking lot, and an area of unoccupied space. Developers at 4Terra are hoping to convert the low-density commercial and unused space into 29 new residential units.
