Renderings Revealed for Treehouse Proposal at 1100 North Mathilda Avenue, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County

New renderings have been revealed alongside a reduction in size for hotel rooms in the Treehouse at 1100 North Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The special development permit request will reduce the 358 guest rooms to 254. The development will refurbish around half a dozen existing structures and build a new six-story hotel, courtyard pool, greenhouse, and community room. Starwood Capital Group is responsible for the application, while Sheraton Hotel is the property owner.

New construction permits have been filed for two residential structures at 1790 Warburton Avenue in Downtown Santa Clara. The development will produce twelve new apartments within townhouse structures. Working through 1900 Warburton LLC, Samir Sharma is responsible for the proposal as property owner and applicant.

Construction has passed the first floor for the first of a dozen buildings expected in the Tasman East Specific Plan in Santa Clara. 2233 Calle del Mundo will become a six-story residential building producing 196 apartments across 179,000 square feet. St. Anton Communities is the project developer.

Development permits have been approved for the demolition of two units for the construction of the 16-unit townhouse project at 220-228 Carroll Street in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The subdivision is split between three structures, with units ranging in size from 1,280 square feet to four-bedrooms and 2,130 square feet. Terra Holdings is responsible for the proposal through 220 Carroll Street LLC.

Construction is underway for the unusually shaped office building at 2000 North Shoreline Boulevard, nearby the waterfront in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The project is a low-slung structure designed by high-profile architects; it is a collaboration between Bjarke Ingels Group and Heatherwick Studios. Google is responsible as the developer and future tenant. Uniquely and in many ways true, Heatherwick Studios describe the project “as Google’s first bespoke office building.”

Development plans are under review for a mixed-use Google Middlefield Park master plan in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. Google’s proposal brings up to 1,950 apartments, retail, 10.5 acres of parkland, and over a million square feet of offices with transit-oriented planning. The development possible after the city adopted its East Whisman Precise Plan in 2019. Google is working with Lendlease to develop the project and is expecting completion as late as 2040.
