The public teleconference meeting is scheduled to begin today, October 13th, at 6:30 PM. School Expansion Proposed At 2350 Green Street In Cow Hollow, San Francisco

Permits have been filed seeking the approval of the expansion of a school located at 2350 Green Street in Cow Hollow, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the remodeling and additions that will expand the existing building footprint. The project site houses St. Vincent De Paul School, containing the main school building (currently being used as the lower school), a gymnasium, and classroom buildings (currently used as the middle school). The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 37,734 square feet. The project proposal includes the infill of the first floor of the middle school and a new addition, including a new stairway connecting the middle school and the lower school. The middle school will increase in size from 5,972 square feet to 13,650 square feet. Emeryville-based architecture firm Ratcliff is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Junction Properties has filed a pre-application for an eight-story residential development for 2600 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland’s burgeoning Northgate-Waverly neighborhood. The proposal will replace surface parking and a low-rise commercial structure with 225 residential units and ground-floor retail. BAR Architects is responsible for the design.

New plans have been filed following an existing proposal at 960 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. oWOW has filed to construct a 14-story mixed-use infill with a mass-timber superstructure instead of a three-story office project. Demolition work has already been completed on-site, preserving the facade of the former industrial building.

The project would demolish the dozen low-slung industrial structures nearby a residential neighborhood, large shops, and the San Bruno BART Station, San Mateo County. Renderings have been published ahead of a scheduled Burlingame Planning Commission meeting for a proposed office building at 567 Airport Boulevard, doubling the office floor area of an existing campus overlooking Burlingame Lagoon in San Mateo County. This meeting comes after a recent change of ownership for Peninsula Innovation Point. Barings, a global investment manager, purchased the property from EverWest and Partners Group in late July 2021 for $170 million and plans to follow through with the redevelopment project.

New Creative Arts Building Opens on San Francisco State University Campus

For the first time in 25 years, San Francisco State University has opened a new academic building. The project includes the construction of the George and Judy Marcus Hall for the Liberal and Creative Arts Building, which is home to SFSU’s Broadcast and Electronic Communications Arts (BECA) program.

McCarthy Building Companies is the general contractor. Mark Cavagnero Associates is responsible for the design concepts. SWA Group is managing the landscape architecture. Other project participants include Forell|Elsesser Structural Engineers, CSW civil engineering, and WSP for mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP).
