Development permits were submitted to approve the demolition of existing structures at 2850 West Bayshore Road in Midtown, Palo Alto. The project proposal includes reviewing the permits to allow the demolition and new construction of forty-eight three-story attached residential townhomes.

Addressed at 845 Embarcadero, Parcel G will bring affordable housing, retail, and amenities across an oddly-shaped footprint. Oakland-based Signature Development Group is developing the project, with joint-financing from Signature, China-based Zarsion Holdings Group, and Reynolds & Brown.

The project, named R2 Building, will bring 38 houses to the waterfront neighborhood, of which three will be sold as affordable to residents making up to 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
