17-Story Proposal for 2274 Shattuck Avenue Moves Forward, Downtown Berkeley

Berkeley’s Landmark Preservation Commission has voted to protect the United Artists Theater’s facade at 2274 Shattuck Avenue but not the rest of the structure. The decision will be reviewed by the City Council in a public meeting next Tuesday. After that, the developer, Panoramic Interests, is expected to have a clear pathway to start construction for the 227-unit tower once funding is secured.

Building permits have been issued for an affordable housing complex at 3050 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building offering affordable housing units. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA) is the project developer working in partnership with Native American Health Center (NAHC). Pyatok Architects is responsible for the designs. The Burlingame Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans today for a multi-structure life sciences/office campus at 1200-1340 Old Bayshore Highway in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The Peninsula Crossing proposal will create over 1.4 million square feet of commercial space and two ten-story garages. DivcoWest and Woodstock Development are jointly responsible for the project developer.
