The project will replace the current farmland and orchards with over a thousand apartments and retail space. Preliminary plans have been filed for a 28-story senior living tower at 1800 Broadway in Redwood City, San Mateo County. Initial illustrations show the tower, right across from a Kaiser Permanente medical campus, could reach 310 feet tall, which would make is the second-tallest building in the county. Palo Alto-based R&M Properties is the project developer.
