New plans have been filed to create a temporary public library branch at 950 Grant Avenue in San Francisco’s Chinatown. The facility will operate while the city pursues renovations of the Him Mark Lai Library Branch. The city’s Real Estate Division is listed as responsible for the application.
Sares Regis Group has celebrated the full opening of Celeste, a 195-unit apartment complex at 401 Cypress Avenue in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The eight-story complex is located close to the city’s Caltrain Station and has already leased almost half of all units. The project is the latest of a handful of new apartments increasing the density of the predominantly suburban city.
Building permits have been issued for a proposed six-story affordable housing complex at 3801 MLK Jr. Way in Longfellow, Oakland. The project would bring dozens of units next to the MacArthur BART Station. RCD Housing is responsible for the development.
Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a multi-family residential project at 1925 U Street in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of a new residential complex offering two three-story buildings. A separate permit is required for demolition of existing one-story building.
New renderings and updated permits have been filed for a planned hotel at 465-477 Grove Street in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley. The project would replace a now-closed Days Inn hotel in the center of the lively neighborhood. Chirag Investment Group is listed as the property owner.
