Plans for a new tower have been revealed for Downtown Oakland. Ellis Partners has submitted a preliminary application to review plans for a 375-foot office building at 1919 Webster Street, located in the urban center of Oakland. If built, the proposal would replace an existing surface parking lot and a vacant six-story building.

Meeting Scheduled for 7000-Home Google North Bayshore Plan, Mountain View

The City of Mountain View’s Environmental Planning Commission is scheduled for a public review of the Google North Bayshore Masterplan. The development is expected to redevelop 127 acres with thousands of housing units, offices, shops, and public parks. Google is responsible for the proposal, with Lendlease managing development.

Demolition work has started, removing the southern facade of the former Bank of California at 199 Park Avenue in Downtown San Jose. The move came just days after a Santa Clara County Superior Court judge denied an attempt by preservationists to block demolition at the beginning of the month. The court litigation has stalled demolition for roughly 13 months.
