Supplemental Work Underway As Lendlease Keeps 30 Van Ness Avenue On Hold, San Francisco

Plans for the 47-story mixed-use tower at 30 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco are still on hold. However, a construction crane has returned to the site for limited work on the two-year-old foundation as the project developer, Lendlease, continues to wait before restarting work. The activity will ensure the existing site is stable with improvements to the sidewalk fencing.

Updated Design & Increased Housing for 41-Story Proposal at One Oak, San Francisco

Planning progress and new renderings have been published for the proposed 41-story tower at One Oak in San Francisco’s Market & Octavia Area Plan, formerly known as The Hub. The latest documents show a modified design scheme by SCB, as well as a minor increase in unit count since the project was revived by the property owner last year. The Emerald Fund is responsible for the application on behalf of the owner, Washington Capital.

Major Office-to-Residential Conversion Planned for CityView Plaza San Jose

In a major pivot, developer Jay Paul Co. has decided to convert a large portion of the ongoing CityView Plaza project from office to residential. The site, at the northeast corner of Almaden Boulevard and Park Avenue in Downtown San Jose, will transform an existing four-office building campus into 320 units, rebooting construction on the project which paused last year due to poor market conditions.
