New elevations have been published for the double-tower proposal at 655 4th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project is one of the largest in the city’s pipeline, aiming to create over a thousand apartments on 1.6 acres directly across from Caltrain’s San Francisco Station. Tishman Speyer, the same company behind the nearby Mission Rock master development, is the project sponsor.
The City of Berkeley has approved the SB35 application for 3120 Shattuck Avenue in South Berkeley, Alameda County. This paves the way for the applicant to receive a streamlined ministerial review for the proposed eight-story permanently affordable housing proposal to be called Woolsey Gardens. NorCal Community Land Trust is responsible for the application.
Construction has topped out with facade installation underway for the 16-story residential complex at 2359 Harrison Street in Northgate-Waverly, Oakland. The project has reshaped a 0.86-acre parcel with hundreds of homes, retail, and a landscaped public plaza. Holland Partner Group is the developer.
The San Francisco Board of Appeals is scheduled to review an appeal filed by the developer behind 2700 Sloat Boulevard regarding the zoning code interpretation by the city’s Zoning Administrator. The department argues that calculations behind the 50-story skyscraper in the Sunset District were an inaccurate interpretation of city code. In their appeal, CH Planning has provided examples of over a dozen approved projects that they say used similar methods of calculator.
Excavation work is underway for the 16-story mixed-use building at 555 Bryant Street in SoMa, San Francisco. While facade installation has started for the nearby offices, the same contractor is working on the foundation of what will become 501 new homes close to Caltrain Station and the Central Subway line.
