San Francisco Presidio Tunnel Tops Park Opening This Sunday

Presidio Tunnel Tops Park will open Sunday with performances, food vendors, talks, and public art. With its opening, San Francisco will get its newest waterfront park, spanning 14 acres and creating a comfortable pedestrian connection from the Main Parade Lawn to Crissy Field Beach. The day has been co-curated by the Partnership for the Presidio and community members.

Permanent Supportive Housing Opens at 53 Colton Street in The Hub San Francisco

Jazzie Collins Apartments has officially opened ahead of schedule at 53 Colton Street in San Francisco’s Hub neighborhood. The six-story building, named after one of the city’s famous social activists, has created 96 new units of permanent supportive housing co-developed by HomeRise and Strada Investment Group. The opening occurred earlier this week with the Mayor in attendance.

Crane Sections Delivered for 47-Story Tower at 30 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco

Several sections of a construction crane have been delivered yesterday afternoon to 30 Van Ness Avenue, a recently-cleared lot in San Francisco’s Civic Center. Crews finished demolition of the five-story office building this January, and now the site is primed for excavation of the city’s tallest skyscraper in the Hub, and the second tallest in the city after the Transbay Parcel F by Hines and Urban Pacific. Australia-based multinational real estate company Lendlease is the developer and contractor of the 47-story mixed-use proposal.
