Crews have started preparing for the demolition of a four-story structure ahead of construction of the 19-story apartment block at 1510 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. Helped by an updated California Building Code passed in 2021, 1510 Webster is expected to be the second tallest wooden tower in the country. Oakland-based oWOW is the project developer and architect.

The project will soon bring 12 dwelling units and a retail spot by local and regional transit. Mission Property Management is listed as the project developer, operating through Celtic Development LLC.

The proposal will create new R&D and Manufacturing facilities within a high-tech net-zero carbon building. The project is being developed by Spear Street Capital, headquartered in the city’s prominent Spear Towers.
Facade installation is wrapping up for a five-story affordable housing project by West San Carlos in San Jose, Santa Clara County. 329 Page Street is poised to add 82 new homes to the city’s housing market a mile from Diridon Station as early as this November. Charities Housing is the project developer.
Construction work is moving ahead for the five-story housing project at 427 Auzerais Avenue by Downtown San Jose. Crews have finished the foundation and concrete podium, with four floors remaining above. The project will offer affordable and permanent supportive residences developed by Eden Housing.
