Facade installation started with concrete still rising at 198 McAllister Street in San Francisco. The project is the second phase of UC Hastings College’s Academic Village project in the Civic Center. The 14-story addition will provide dorms, classrooms, and a vast diversity of other facilities by the summer of 2023.
Facade installation is nearly done for the three new towers in Mission Rock, San Francisco. Both the new Visa Headquarters and The Canyon are completely wrapped, with work on Building B almost finished. Meanwhile, Site work is continuing for Studio Gang’s glazed-green tower, the fourth and final tower to rise during Phase One, with the project crane already in place. The joint venture dubbed Mission Rock Partners expects to welcome its first tenants and residents next year.
Facade installation has reached the halfway point for 921 Howard Street, a topped-out 18-story affordable housing tower in SoMa, San Francisco. The 203-unit building is a significant high-density addition to the city, one block from Mission Street and across from the 5M development. The project is a joint venture with Curtis Development and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation.
Crews have started preparing for the demolition of a four-story structure ahead of construction of the 19-story apartment block at 1510 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. Helped by an updated California Building Code passed in 2021, 1510 Webster is expected to be the second tallest wooden tower in the country. Oakland-based oWOW is the project developer and architect.
Construction is rising for the seven-story residential development at 1900 Mission Street, located one block from BART in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood. The project will soon bring 12 dwelling units and a retail spot by local and regional transit. Mission Property Management is listed as the project developer, operating through Celtic Development LLC.
