Just over a year after the official groundbreaking ceremony, crews have topped out the five-story affordable educator housing development at 1360 43rd Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The Shirley Chisholm Village has replaced a former school and outdoor yard with the low-rise apartment infill designed by BAR Architects with G7A. MidPen Housing is the project developer, and Cahill is the general contractor.
Concrete has passed the halfway point for the new affordable housing complex rising at 600 7th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project, named 7th and Brannan, is among the biggest active sites in the city, with over 221 units to be opened once complete. Mercy Housing is the project developer.
Leasing is underway now for the newest apartment complex on the northeast edge of San Francisco’s Mission District. The Fitzgerald is now open, directly across from the recently launched affordable housing complex at 681 Florida Street and near the freshly remodeled KQED headquarters. Align Real Estate is the developer.
Construction work has topped out with facade installation nearly complete for the four-story life science project at 777 Industrial Road in San Carlos, San Mateo County. The project rose quickly since our prior coverage in June last year when demolition had finished for everything but a single floor for adaptive reuse. Presidio Bay Ventures is the project developer, and W.L. Butler is the general contractor.
Construction has started with excavation work well underway for a new six-story life sciences complex at 405 Industrial Road in San Carlos, San Mateo County. The project, now named Portal 405, is one of several life science projects rising along Industrial Road, contributing to a new life sciences hub in the San Francisco Peninsula market. Menlo Equities and Beacon Capital Partners are joint venture partners for the project.
