Foundation Pour at 1510 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland

Crews have finished the concrete foundation pour at 1510 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland for the future 19-story mass timber tower. The project has been designed and developed by Oakland-based oWOW and will eventually become the tallest mass timber building on the West Coast and the second tallest in the country. Once complete, the development will create 222 new homes above commercial and retail space.

Pre-Application Filed for 2800 Telegraph Avenue, South Berkeley

The pre-application permit has been filed for the six-story residential infill at 2800 Telegraph Avenue in South Berkeley, Alameda County. The new filing comes with a new floor and three more units than the initial filing in June of last year. With 16 units, the proposal will replace a low-slung commercial structure with 16 large apartments. Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the design.

The Berkeley Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans today for the potential development of a collection of properties spanning 8.2-acre property in Northwest Berkeley, Alameda County. The preliminary plans suggest the construction of nearly a million square feet serving the region’s growing appetite for life sciences. Perkins&Will is responsible for the masterplan design.
