Final design review is pending for a mixed-use project at 1951 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development 0f a residential complex with commercial and parking spaces. Plans also call for the demolition of two existing commercial buildings. Grosvenor America is the property owner. Solomon Cordwell Buenz is responsible for the design concepts and construction. PGA Design is the landscape architect.
Permits have been issued for the proposed seven-story mixed-use building at 412 Madison Street in the corner of Oakland’s waterfront Jack London Square district. The project will add 157 new apartments and retail space to the East Bay housing market. Swenson is the owner and developer of the project, with the firm’s architectural division also in charge of the design.
A preliminary application has been submitted to review a proposed residential project on Carroll Street in Ivy Hill, Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a mini-lot development on an existing up-slope vacant lot. Zachary Heineman is the project applicant. Team Projects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
A new rendering has been revealed for a five-story mixed-use building at 7521 MacArthur Boulevard in Eastmont, Oakland. To be called Macarthur & 76th Avenue Apartments, the development would add 11 units to the East Bay’s housing market. Devi Dutta Architecture is managing the design and project.
The Hayward Planning Commission has approved plans to build two five-story residential buildings and the second location for The Primary School, an innovative school founded in 2016 by Meredith Liu and Dr. Priscilla Chan, wife of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The project will rise from a new street, in Hayward, an East Bay city with around 160,000 residents in Alameda County. At full build-out, the project will have 176 dwelling units and 384 students between preschool and fifth grade.
