Construction work is wrapping up for Forma, the 24-story residential tower at 2016 Telegraph Avenue in Downtown Oakland. The structure adds 223 new units to the city, which are unambiguously market rate, with studios starting at $2,690 per month and three-bedroom penthouses for $13,190 per month. Holland Partner Group is responsible for the development after taking over plans by Lane Partners.

Construction has wrapped up on the new mixed-use building at 2455 Broadway in Uptown Oakland. The project has created 72 new apartments and a 168-guestroom hotel managed by Hyatt. The residential portion is dubbed the Monograph at Kissel, with the hotel, run by Hyatt, named Kissel Uptown Oakland. BAR Architects is responsible for the design, which integrates a historic structure into the new art-deco project.

Berkeley’s Potential New Tallest Tower Proposed for 2190 Shattuck Avenue, Downtown Berkeley

PGIM has filed a pre-application permit for a 25-story mixed-use tower at 2190 Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley. The filing comes as a modification to prior approved 18-story plans by Mill Creek Residential. PGIM hopes to benefit from Senate Bill 330, passed by the State to assist residential proposals. If the application is approved, 2190 Shattuck Avenue could create 326 new homes by BART and the UC Berkeley campus.

Groundbreaking Held For Helen Diller Anchor House in UC Berkeley

Construction is now underway on a massive, new student housing project at UC Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of a 14-story building dedicated entirely to house transfer students on the campus of UC Berkeley. Plans call for the demolition of two historic structures as well as a 112-year-old rent-controlled building at 1921 Walnut Street. Morris Adjmi Architects is responsible for the design concepts. Anchor House was developed in collaboration with the Helen Diller Foundation and UC Berkeley Capital Strategies.
