1888 MLK, a new six-story residential development, has broken ground at 1888 Martin Luther King Jr Way in Downtown Oakland. Once complete, the surface parking lot will be replaced with 88 modern studio apartments. Prefab Logistics is partnering with Oakland-based architecture firm Baran Studios for this urban in-fill project.
A new 6-story building will be constructed on 2976, Mission Street, San Francisco, creating 8 new residential units. The proposal includes demolition and new construction of a mixed-use building with commercial space at the ground floor. The existing 2 story story facade will be maintained, refurbished, and incorporated into the new construction. Elevation Architects is managing the project.
Permits have approved a new construction on 2312 Vicente Street, Sunset Boulevard, San Francisco. The project site is 54.5 feet by 75 feet rectangular lot located on a block bounded by Vicente Street 35th Ave, Ulloa Street, and 34th Ave. Currently, the plot holds a 1-story church built in 1950. The proposed project would demolish the existing church, subdivide the lot into two 2,043.75 square feet parcels and construct a 3-unit building on each lot. Schaub Ly Architects is managing the project.
Permits have been filed for demolition and remodeling on 3452 and 3456 Sacramento Street, San Francisco. The project includes the complete renovation and expansion of an existing residential and commercial building. The proposal consists of a one-story vertical addition and horizontal developments to accommodate three additional dwelling units. The project also proposes to demolish an existing detached garage structure at the rear of the property and create a four-car garage on the basement floor through excavation. The proposed residential area is 8,183 square feet. John Lum Architecture is managing the project.
Permits have been filed for a new mixed-used four-story building at 5500-02 Mission Street in Outer Mission, San Francisco. There will be approximately 28,370 square feet within the forty-foot construction, including 94 beds. Merced Residential Care will be responsible for the development.
