The building will soon open with 256 studio apartments for adults and seniors in the city. 1064 Mission is a joint venture with the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, Mercy Housing, and the Episcopal Community Services.

On Wednesday this week, San Jose Planning Department finally gave approvals to a hotel project at 1212-1224 South Winchester Boulevard in San Jose. The approved project proposes the development of a six-story hotel after multiple environmental reviews and meetings as reported in a previous version. Dr. Adam Askari, a local dentist, is the property owner. is responsible for the design concepts. Cord Associates is listed as the project applicant. Carpira Design Group is the architecture firm responsible for design concepts and construction.

Over Quarter Billion Dollars in Funding Secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, San Jose

Construction funding has been secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, a large eight-story multi-family building in west San Jose. The development team received $284 million from an Australian pension and retirement fund to build The Maxwell, the nearly six hundred unit apartment component of the transit-oriented South Bascom Gateway Station masterplan. Newmark announced in a press release that construction is expected to start by the end of the month.

A new mixed-use project has been proposed at 1600 Broadway in Land Park, Sacramento. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering retail and residential spaces. Demolition permits were filed in November of 2019 and subsequently fulfilled. The property had been site to Tower Records, a local fixture selling CDs and vinyl records. Williams + Paddon will be responsible for the architecture.
