Application Filed for 345-Unit Bay Point Development, Contra Costa County

An application has been filed requesting land use and development permits for a new mixed-use development nearby BART at 530-625 South Broadway Avenue, as part of the Orbisonia Heights project in Bay Point, Contra Costa County. The project will yield 345 units, retail, and a library to be built across three phases. The project developer and application have not been revealed, though the city did share a solicitation request years ago.

New Renderings Revealed for Related’s 530 Sansome Street Tower, Financial District, San Francisco

New renderings have been revealed for the 19-story mixed-use tower proposed for 530 Sansome Street in the Financial District of San Francisco. Proposed just a block from the Transamerica Pyramid, the new high-rise would demolish two buildings, retaining the function of an existing low-rise fire station and produce 200 new hotel guest rooms. Related is sponsoring the project through EQX Jackson SQ Holdco LLC with the San Francisco Bureau of Real Estate and the San Francisco Fire Department.

Affordable Housing Proposed for 80 Saratoga Avenue, Santa Clara

Pre-application permits have been filed for a new six-story 100% affordable housing complex at 80 Saratoga Avenue in Santa Clara. The proposal features 209 new residential units with parking. The Silicon Valley YMCA is listed as the project applicant. Senate Bill 35 will be used to speed up the review process thanks to the proximity to a major transit stop.

Design Study Session Held For For 100 Lafayette Circle, Contra Costa County

Contra Costa County Planning Committee will be reviewing plans for a new two-story commercial building at 100 Lafayette Circle. The new 13,000 square feet mixed0use structure will replace the building destroyed by fire.

The St. Regis Museum Tower rises 484 feet over Yerba Buena Gardens to be the 36th tallest tower in the Bay Area planned or built. The mixed-use building has added 260 hotel rooms and 102 residential units to the San Francisco housing market in SoMa, along with the Museum for the African Diaspora. Skidmore Owings & Merrill is responsible for the design.

Development permits have been approved for a residential project at 2400 Filbert Street in McClymonds, West Oakland. The proposal will replace a low-density commercial structure with 87 new apartments, including affordable units, for the Oakland housing market. TNP Real Estate Investments is responsible for the plan.

Residential Plan Review Application has been submitted seeking the reviewal of floor plans designed for five residences in Shasta Avenue, Sacramento. The proposed project is part of a bigger residential project named Silver Leaf consisting of 31 lots in the R-1 zone. The site addresses are 7717, 7800, 7808 Shasta Avenue.
William Hezmalhalch Architects is managing the design concepts and construction. Lafferty Communities is the project developer.

New renderings have been released ahead of today’s hearing with the San Jose Planning Director for Garden Gate Tower at 600 South 1st Street in Downtown San Jose. The proposed high-rise will have 23 floors, adding 336 residential units to the San Jose housing market above four commercial retail spaces. The London-based project owner, Scape, is behind an addendum request for a shorter project with more units. Scape specializes in the design of student dormitories.

Historical Landmark El Rey Theater In Mount Davidson Manor San Francisco To Be Remodeled

A Preliminary Project Assessment application has been submitted seeking the approval of two residential buildings at 1970 Ocean Avenue in Mount Davidson Manor, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of the residential buildings and renovation and restoration of a theater that is landmarked as a historical site. An Art Deco piece, the El Rey Theater was designed in 1931 by JR Miller and Timothy Pflueger. The project has received an HRE report from Page & Turnbull.
Goldman Architects is managing the design concept and construction.
