Condominium permits have been filed to build a three-unit structure at 33-37 Capra Way in the Marina District of San Francisco. While underdeveloped for the lot, the project will be an increase from the existing condition of one unit. Michael Morrison of John Lum Architecture is listed as the owner of the property.
Permits have been filed for the first phase of alterations on the new BART headquarters at 2150 Webster Street, Downtown Oakland. The move will keep the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) agency located in the city center while saving an estimated fifth of a billion dollars on rent over a twenty-five year period. The move is estimated to cost $227 million.
New building permits have been filed for a 140-unit affordable housing project at 1345 Willow Street in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The development will replace an existing site of 82 units. California-based MidPen Housing is responsible for the development.
Development permits have been submitted for constructing a new commercial building at 1901 Broadway Land Park, Sacramento. The project proposal includes the demolition of an existing office building and the construction a five-story mixed-use building. LPAS Architecture + Design is managing the project.
While there are many skyscrapers in the planning pipeline for Downtown San Jose, one of these buildings is making a quick ascent. The Adobe North Tower at 333 West San Fernando Street is on pace to top out by the early half of 2021, with the reinforced concrete currently eight floors high and ten remainings. Adobe is the owner of the development, with Gensler in charge of the design.
