Planning Commission Poised to Approve Authorization of 321 Florida Street, Mission District, San Francisco

The planning commission meeting scheduled for 1 PM today is expected to approve two key requests by the nine-story mixed-use building at 321 Florida Street in the Mission District, San Francisco. City staff have recommended the commission adopt the shadow study demonstrating the building will not adversely impact Franklin Square Park’s sun-exposure and approve the Large Project Authorization application with conditions. DM Development is the project developer.

Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a five-story mixed-use building at 2055 Taraval Street in Parkside, San Francisco. The project proposal includes constructing a mixed-use building with twenty-one residential units and one commercial unit on the ground floor. SIA Consulting is managing the design concepts and construction of the project.

The proposal will create approximately two million square feet of office space and about 858,000 square feet of parking area on-site, tripling the existing built area. Bay West Development is responsible for the proposal.

Project review permits have been filed to retrofit a historic nine-story hotel to housing or student housing at 1075 Sutter Street in Polk Gulch, San Francisco. The proposal has been designed by Stanton Architecture, while Los Angeles-based Hawkins Way Capital is the property owner.

Renderings Revealed For 501 Crescent Avenue In Bernal Heights, San Francisco

Development permits have been submitted seeking permission to legalize the demolition of an existing unit at 510 Crescent Avenue in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. The demolition project proposal also includes the construction of a new single-family house. The existing residential structure collapsed during a previous renovation. CityDot Studio LLC is managing the design concept and construction of the new house.

Today, we highlight The Orchard, producing two towers at 300 South 1st Street and the third tower at 409 South 2nd Street, called The Orchard Workspace and The Orchard Residential. The Orchard yields over two million square feet combined, producing a campus of offices, housing, retail, and restaurants.

Sales Begin for Yerba Buena Island Housing In San Francisco

Multi-billion-dollar housing development is all set to be revealed in Yerba Buena Island; an island settled in the bay between Oakland and San Francisco. Yerba Buena Island will soon be home to 226 luxury apartments priced at a minimum of $1 million. San Franciscan boutique Real Estate venture, Wilson Meany, is the developer and investor. The Agency and Stockbridge are also managing the development of the project. The project celebrated groundbreaking in mid-2019.

New renderings have been revealed alongside a reduction in size for hotel rooms in the Treehouse at 1100 North Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The special development permit request will reduce the 358 guest rooms to 254. The development will refurbish around half a dozen existing structures and build a new six-story hotel, courtyard pool, greenhouse, and community room. Starwood Capital Group is responsible for the application, while Sheraton Hotel is the property owner.

New building permits have been filed for a 37-story mixed-use tower at 98 Franklin Street in the Civic Center neighborhood of San Francisco. The city’s Planning Department approved the development in May of 2020, allowing for construction on top of surface parking at the corner of Oak and Franklin with a small parcel of land, allowing construction to extend to Market Street. Related Companies is responsible for the development.

Victorian Home Moved, Renderings Revealed for 807 Franklin Street, Western Addition, San Francisco

A 139-year old Victorian Home, named the Englander House, has been cleared from the parcel at 807 Franklin Street for a proposed eight-story infill. The ornate building has been transported half a mile to a new location at 635 Fulton Street, staying in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco. Brown and Company are the property owners.
