New building permits have been filed for three townhouse structures to be built at 1834 Worthington Circle as part of Santa Clara’s Agrihood showpiece development. The three buildings will contribute 36 new dwelling units as part of the multi-structure 361-unit project with an acre and a half of agricultural land. The development is a private-public partnership with the City of Santa Clara and Core Companies.
A project review meeting has been requested to consider plans to convert office space to senior housing at 369 Broadway on the northern edge of San Francisco’s Financial District. The project would convert 8,770 square feet into 21 studio dwelling units for senior housing. North East Medical Services, or NEMS, is responsible for the development.
Scaffolding has been erected for the partial demolition at 30 Van Ness Avenue, where a future mixed-use tower with affordable housing is expected to become the 24th tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built. The 540-foot tower will create 333 condominiums and nearly a quarter of a million square feet of commercial office area in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood by City Hall. Lendlease is the project developer.
Oakland Planning Commission held a design review meeting discussing the Brooklyn Basin Marina Expansion Project in Oakland. The project is a proposed revision to the Brooklyn Basin Project (formerly known as Oak to 9th Street Project). The proposal includes the addition of approximately 10 acres of water surface area to accommodate the proposed marina expansion. Signature Development Group of Oakland and Beijing-based Zarsion Holdings Group are the project developers.
Permits have been filed for a single-family dwelling at 939 Lombard Street, 300 feet away from the famous crooked hillside block in Russian Hill, San Francisco. The development will replace an existing carport with a single unit despite proximity to urban amenities. Byrnes Special Works LLC, led by developer Enda Keane, is responsible for the project.
