Master plans for a mixed-use residential project have been approved for development at 0 Seely Avenue, along Coyote Creek in North San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project will replace the current farmland and orchards with over a thousand apartments and retail space. Hanover Company, Pacific Companies, and SummerHill Homes are jointly responsible for the development.
Zoning permits have been filed for a new eight-story residential infill at 2138 Kittredge Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The project will replace a 120-year-old brick building with over five dozen apartments, including a few affordable units, directly across from California Theatre. The Austin Group is responsible for the application.
Holland Partner Group has agreed to purchase 3896 Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose. Since 2019, the multi-acre property has been the focus of a commercial redevelopment proposal by Cypress Equities. The developer planned to add new office space above retail, but the shifting market has stalled the project.
A new office project has been proposed for development at 811 Cedar Street in West Berkeley. The project proposal includes the construction of a new two-story building offering space for office use. Plans also call for the demolition of the existing structure on the site. Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the designs.
Preliminary plans have been filed for a 28-story senior living tower at 1800 Broadway in Redwood City, San Mateo County. Initial illustrations show the tower, right across from a Kaiser Permanente medical campus, could reach 310 feet tall, which would make is the second-tallest building in the county. Palo Alto-based R&M Properties is the project developer.
