The month started with the opening of the 5M office tower, housing, and public park. YIMBY captured aerial images of excavation work at the Potrero Power Station, and Sand Hill Property Company revealed plans for the 50-Acre massive redevelopment of the Vallco Malli in Cupertino called The Rise.
New plans have been filed with even more housing for 1401 Folsom Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The proposal has now been increased from seven to ten floors high, with 94 apartments. RG Architecture is responsible for the design.
Construction is underway for a mixed-use project proposed at 1666 7th Street in West Oakland, Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering affordable housing and retail space. Oakland & the World Enterprises is the project sponsor, led by OAW’s CEO and former Black Panther Party chairwoman, Elaine Brown. MWA Architects is responsible for the design.

In February, SHVO revealed plans to renovate 545 Sansome Street as part of their Transamerica Pyramid masterplan, 2190 Shattuck Avenue kickstarted the race to be the tallest tower in Berkeley, and new renderings were revealed for the SOM-designed Buddhist Temple in Nob Hill.
New plans have been filed for a four-story mixed-use infill at 5617 Elvas Avenue in the affluent East Sacramento neighborhood. The proposal will replace a vacant plot of land with thirty new homes and retail by the CSU Sacramento Campus. HK3 Development is responsible for the application.
