The Emeryville Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for a new office building at 1580 62nd Street in Emeryville, Alameda County. The project, named EmeryStation Overland, would replace three single-story warehouses with 300,000 square feet and a six-story parking garage. Wareham Development is responsible for the application.
Construction is expected to start next year for Orchard Workspace, a 20-story office proposal at 300 South 1st Street in Downtown San Jose. The news comes from the publication of the Draft Environmental Impact Report and the start of a public review period. The project aims to replace the 2.8-acre Valley Title lot with over a million square feet of office space and a large public market.
Orchard Workspace is one of seven projects in the Westbank Campus, a masterplan vision being developed by Westbank and Urban Community.
Demolition permits have been issued by the City of San Jose for 180 Park Avenue, allowing construction to start on the 20-story office tower, Park Habitat. A CEQA Notice has been published for the proposed Mission Point Project in the City of Santa Clara. The publication follows a community meeting held by the city with the developer and the community in late March. In its latest reduced iteration, plans for Mission Point are to build over three million square feet of offices, 1,800 new homes, retail, and a childcare facility. Kylli is the project sponsor, with Gensler responsible for the design.
Vornado Realty Trust has commissioned Fogarty Finger, a New York City-based architecture firm, to revamp the interiors of 555 California Street, located in San Francisco’s Financial District. The firm will oversee the refurbishment of the 34th and 46th floors to entice new tenants into one of the city’s most prominent office buildings. Work is expected to finish by July this year.
