Construction is moving quickly for the new Science & Engineering Innovation Center on the San Francisco State University Campus. The SEIC building will bring new facilities with state-of-the-art equipment for future students while housing the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry and the School of Engineering. The building is expected to open by early 2024.
Development permits have been filed for a residential project proposed at 4742 Mission Street, Excelsior, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story building. The project sponsor proposes the demolition of the existing fifteen-foot-tall, one-story commercial building, and a seventy-five-foot tall mixed-use building. The proposed project is a Home-SF development. Home-SF is San Francisco’s local density bonus program. SIA Consulting is managing the designs.
New building permits have been filed for the construction of three new medical buildings at 2505 Samaritan Drive and 2512 Samaritan Court in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The proposal is part of a long-term plan to expand and modernize the Samaritan Medical Center campus, close to the Cambrian Park Plaza plan. Cilker Henderson Properties is the project developer.
Building permits have been submitted for a residential project proposed at 39 Santa Rosa Avenue in Outer Mission, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story building offering residential units and an ADU. Team 7 International Architects is responsible for the designs.
Construction is moving along for Celeste at 401 Cypress Avenue in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. Devcon Construction, the general contractor, has completed the concrete podium is now about halfway up to the eight-story pinnacle. The concrete and wood site overlooks the already-opened Bell South City apartments, built by the same developer, Sares Regis Group.
