The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building offering 100 % affordable housing units. TPC CS Holdings LLC is the property owner. Pacific West Communities Inc is the project applicant. AO Architects is responsible for the designs.

Construction has started for a seven-story affordable housing project at 78 Johnson Street as part of San Francisco’s Treasure Island megadevelopment. Star View Court will create 138 new homes at parcel C3.1, close to the nearly-complete Maceo May Apartments, offering replacement housing for existing Treasure Island residents. The project is a collaborative effort by Mercy Housing and Catholic Charities.

The race for the tallest building in Berkeley continues, and it is a contest of single-digit differences. Updated plans have been filed with the Berkeley Planning Department for 2128 Oxford Street, which raises the project to 26 floors and 284 feet tall. The plans are now the tallest proposed building for Downtown Berkeley, extending just seven feet over 1974 Shattuck Avenue.
