New preliminary permits have been filed for the redevelopment of Moonlite Shopping Center in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The application states the project could replace the 14.3-acre strip mall at 2610 El Camino Real with nearly six hundred homes, amenities, and open space. Sherman Clay Group is the property owner, operating through Moonlite Associates LLC.
New Renderings have been revealed for a residential project at 739 Sutter Avenue in Midtown, Palo Alto. The project proposal includes the construction of a three-story residential infill. Plans call for the demolition of an eight-unit apartment complex on the site. Pleasanton-based DAHLIN Group is responsible for the design. BKF Engineers is the civil engineer. Grace Li, a real estate developer based in San Mateo, filing through Sutter 739 Associates LLC, is responsible for the project. Anyi Landscape Studio is responsible for the landscape architecture.
Mollie Stone’s Market has filed an alternative SB330 pre-application for the Builder’s Remedy-assisted proposal at 156 California Avenue in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The application gives minor updates to the design and parcel separation, though the applicant has specified that the prior application is not being withdrawn. Both plans, sponsored by REDCO Development, would create Palo Alto’s tallest residential building.
Development permits have been filed for a new stadium for two soccer clubs at 8000 South Coliseum Way in Coliseum, East Oakland. The project would replace a surplus parking lot within the Coliseum campus and allow the two teams to start playing in the 2025 season. The permits were filed the same day the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum board unanimously approved plans for the Oakland Athletics to negotiate a lease agreement for 2025-2026 with the teams’ owner.
The City of Santa Clara has approved a residential project proposed for development at 1957 Pruneridge Avenue in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The project proposal includes the demolition of an existing church and accessory structures, along with the removal of landscaping on the project site, followed by the development of 22 two-story townhomes.
