San Francisco Board of Appeals Reviewing 2700 Sloat Boulevard Today

The San Francisco Board of Appeals is scheduled to review an appeal filed by the developer behind 2700 Sloat Boulevard regarding the zoning code interpretation by the city’s Zoning Administrator. The department argues that calculations behind the 50-story skyscraper in the Sunset District were an inaccurate interpretation of city code. In their appeal, CH Planning has provided examples of over a dozen approved projects that they say used similar methods of calculator.

Zoning Application for Senior Housing and Church in West Oakland

A new zoning application has been submitted for a new affordable senior housing project and church at 793 West Grand Avenue in West Oakland, Alameda County. The proposal will create 101 apartments above a new home for Joshua Christian Church, which currently occupies the existing religious facility on the corner of Grand Avenue and West Street.

The San Francisco Planning Department is expected to vote on plans for a new United Irish Cultural Center at 2700 45th Avenue in the Sunset District, San Francisco. The densely packed six-story institutional facility will create new community space, including a two-level Saint Patrick’s Room banquet hall, offices, and a public gallery.

Renderings have been published for the eight-story flatiron infill with 20 for-ownership units at 2201 Market Street in the Castro, San Francisco. The plan is the first in San Francisco to use Assembly Bill 2011, a state law that went into effect at the beginning of this month, to streamline approval. Chris Foley of Ground Matrix is responsible for the application.

New Net Zero Affordable Community Under Construction In Santa Rosa

The project proposal includes the development of a large-scale residential community offering 99 units at affordable rates designed within nine buildings. The project replaced a former nursery on the site. Nonprofit MidPen Housing Corporation is the project developer. PYATOK Architecture + Design is responsible for the designs.

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority has entered a formal lease agreement to construct a ten-story affordable housing project on the vacant lot next to the Berryessa Transit Center in San Jose, Santa Clara County. Affirmed Housing Group is now working to create 195 units of low-income housing for individuals and families within the planned transit-oriented Urban Village.
