Caltrain has proposed plans to develop office towers next to the San Jose downtown transit hub. The project proposal includes the development of an office complex adjacent to the Diridon train station. The Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, which governs Caltrain, is the property owner.
New plans have been revealed for an eight-story residential building at 1330 N Street in Downtown Sacramento. The proposal, called The Warren, contrasts with an earlier version with a sleek design by Kohn Pedersen Fox. D&S Development is responsible for the proposal, set to add 17 condominiums and 75 apartment units to the state capitol’s housing market.
A planning application have been filed for a six-story affordable apartment building at 1465 Civic Court in Concord, Contra Costa County. If built, the project will produce 63 affordable senior housing units, including an on-site manager’s unit. The development will subdivide the lot and demolish a small surface parking lot.
A preliminary project assessment application has been filed, revealing for the first time a proposed 58-story residential tower for 620 Folsom Street in SoMa, San Francisco. Located between Hawthorne, 2nd Street, and Howard Street, the address would create 623 new rental apartments, boosted by the 50% state density bonus. Ground Matrix is listed as the applicant.
The 19th tallest skyscraper in the Bay Area planned or built is One Embarcadero Center. One Embarcadero Center is the western-most of four look-a-like office buildings that have been a defining feature of San Francisco’s Financial District skyline since it was first erected in 1971. The mixed-use Embarcadero Center project was submitted to the city by David Rockefeller, John Portman, and Trammel-Crow.
