The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering affordable housing and retail space. Oakland & the World Enterprises is the project sponsor, led by OAW’s CEO and former Black Panther Party chairwoman, Elaine Brown. MWA Architects is responsible for the design.

New plans have been filed for a four-story mixed-use infill at 5617 Elvas Avenue in the affluent East Sacramento neighborhood. The proposal will replace a vacant plot of land with thirty new homes and retail by the CSU Sacramento Campus. HK3 Development is responsible for the application.
A new apartment complex has reached completion at 525 North 7th Street in Japantown, San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of a mixed-use apartment community featuring apartments, onsite amenities, and an art gallery. LandForge is the project developer. KTGY Architects is responsible for the designs. The development team includes HMH Landscape, Studio 4D, developURBAN, UMOCA, Zwick Construction, and Greystar.
