The San Carlos City Council has approved final plans for two Life Science buildings to rise at 841 Old County Road. While the San Mateo County city has seen several new life science projects rising, 841 Old County Road is the closest to the city’s Caltrain station, with more public open space than initially considered. The Sobrato Organization is the project developer.
New plans have been filed for a suburban expansion at 19780 Almaden Road in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The application uses the Builder’s Remedy to streamline approval and increase residential capacity to 41 homes. Michael Labarbera of Terracommercial Real Estate is listed as project developer.
Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new residential project at 646-648 Madrid Street in Excelsior, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of a new residential building with an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) and garage. Plans call for the demolition of an existing two-unit single-family house on the site. SJA Development LLC is responsible for the designs.
San Francisco’s newest rooftop restaurant will also be one of the largest rooftop bars in the city. Chotto Matte is opening later today at the recently completed 100 Stockton Street near Union Square. The building will also open the meeting and event space early next month by Convene. Morgan Stanley and Blatteis & Schnur are responsible for the development.
