The Oakland Planning Department has approved plans for a five-story affordable senior housing development at 2500 76th Avenue in Eastmont, Oakland. The proposal will replace a vacant lot with 91 homes and a community room. The project is co-sponsored by Eden Housing and Black Cultural Zone Community Development Corporation.

The application invokes recent state law to split an existing lot, retaining a duplex while replacing a rear parking garage with a three-story infill. Alameda-based Wilson Wong is listed as the property owner.
New building permits have been filed for the apartment proposal at 8581 Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento. The application aims to replace surface parking with approximately 124 dwelling units, while retaining an existing single-story office building occupied by a Social Security office. Last week the new affordable development at 400 China Basin Street held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its completion. Construction has started for the eight-story multiunit complex in 2023, but delays pushed its opening date back from initial projections.
