Construction is underway for several projects around the recently-opened Milpitas BART Station in Santa Clara County. One such development is 730 and 750 East Capitol Avenue, which will produce a combined 582 units and several retail spaces between two structures. The Walnut Creek-based Anton Development manages the project.
Facade installation is nearly complete for a new seven-story mixed-use office building at 345 4th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. A recent site-visit by SFYIMBY shows that the curtain wall installation has reached the sixth floor, is fully installed along 4th Street, and nearly finishing along Tandang Sora Street. Stanton Architecture is responsible for the design and is listed as the property owners operating through 4th & Harrison SF, LLC.
Development permits have been approved for new housing project at 3483 and 3491 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The project proposes to demolish the existing apartment building spanning over 27,040 square feet and constructing a new four-story residential building with a subterranean parking garage, a public plaza, and a park. The construction will span across two parcels on the corner of First Street and Golden Gate Way.
Preliminary planning permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use development replacing a single-story Chuck E. Cheese location at 1371 Kooser Road in the Cambrian neighborhood in southern San Jose. The proposal is expected to offer 100% affordable multifamily apartments opposite the Princeton Plaza Mall. Affirmed Housing is responsible for the application.
The 440-foot tower at 500 Folsom Street is tied with two other structures as the 43rd tallest building in the Bay Area, located in SoMa, San Francisco. 500 Folsom Street, also known as Transbay Block 9, was between 2016 and 2019 to contribute housing and retail. The project was developed by the Real Estate Investment Trust Essex, TMG Partners, and BRIDGE Housing.
