The tallest residential tower in Downtown Oakland has passed the 50-percent leased milestone. Atlas is a recently-opened 40-story mixed-use tower with 633 rental units rising at 385 14th Street in the heart of the city, just a block from the 12th Street BART station. Carmel Partners is the developer with Greystar managing leasing.
The San Jose planning department is scheduled to review the draft supplemental environmental impact report (SEIR) for a proposed Marriott Hotel at 495 West San Carlos Street in Diridon, San Jose. A Site Development Permit has been submitted seeking the demolition of three residential units, a water tank building, and three commercial buildings. Urban Catalyst is the project developer. Studio Current is responsible for the design concepts and construction. The hotel will feature landscaped areas designed by Kimley Horn
Permits have been issued for the proposed seven-story mixed-use building at 412 Madison Street in the corner of Oakland’s waterfront Jack London Square district. The project will add 157 new apartments and retail space to the East Bay housing market. Swenson is the owner and developer of the project, with the firm’s architectural division also in charge of the design.
Development permits have been filed to construct a mixed-use development spanning 2.1 acres at 147 East Santa Clara Street in the expanding urban core of Downtown San Jose. The application expects to build 415 residential units, 525,000 square feet of office space, and ground-level retail. Urban Catalyst is responsible for the proposal.
Since SFYIMBY’s last site visit in late January, facade installation has topped out with interior work underway on 277 27th Street in Northgate-Waverly, just north of downtown Oakland. Referred to as 24th and Harrison, the apartment building will bring 405 apartments and 65,000 square feet of ground-level retail. Holland Partner Group is responsible for the development.
