Construction work is underway for a mixed-use infill project at 3637-3657 Sacramento Street in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights neighborhood. Crews have completed the foundation, with work starting on the two levels of basement parking that will sit beneath new housing and commercial space. Sacramento Locust Associates is the project sponsor, working with the owners, Litke Properties.
Permits have been filed for a potential new skyscraper to replace the existing Golden Gate University campus at 536 Mission Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The plans consider two variants for the site, building either a 698-foot-tall mixed-use tower or a 752-foot-tall office tower. If built today, the project could become the fifth or sixth-tallest building in the Bay Area. Lincoln Property Company and McCourt Partners are jointly responsible for the application.
Construction is progressing forward for the El Paseo de Saratoga urban village project in San Jose. Demolition crews have cleared much of the former commercial stores that will soon be replaced by over seven hundred homes and a residential care facility. Sand Hill Property Company is leading the project, working in partnership with Holland Partners and Sunrise Senior Living.
Plans will be streamlined for the recently filed two-skyscraper development at 88 Bluxome Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The first application was submitted three months ago, with city staff now determining the project can proceed with Assembly Bill 2011, which allows for by-right approval for eligible housing on commercially-zoned lands. Strada Investment Group is the sponsor and developer.
The affordable multifamily project known as Martha Gardens has broken ground at its location of 802 South 1st Street in San Jose. The project, which has been in the planning and preparation phase for more than four years, has made a major step towards eventual completion. John Nicolas and developers at the Pacific Companies were specifically called out in the announcement for their dedication and assistance in seeing the project through to this stage.
