The Santa Clara Development Review hearing to be held later today is expected to approve action on phase one of the Gateway Crossing project at 1205 Coleman Avenue, Santa Clara. The project aims to build a significant residential hub adjacent to Caltrain’s Santa Clara Station, the San Jose city border, and the San Jose International Airport. Holland Partner Group is responsible for the development.
Conditional use authorization permits have been requested for a 100-unit residential project at 1567 California Street in Polk Gulch, San Francisco. If the developers are given the CUA, the project will add a significant quantity for housing, including low-income housing, in the retail-rich and transit-accessible Polk Street thoroughfare. Southern Land Global LLC, affiliated with Shanghai Laiyi Real Estate Development, is the project sponsor.
New planning permits have been filed to demolish a single-story commercial structure at 51 Notre Dame Avenue in Downtown San Jose. The application is filed in the wake of Acquity Realty’s proposed 21-story mixed-use tower for the same lot. The demolition application was filed by the Livermore-based civil engineering firm Kier + Wright.
A recently filed draft has revealed a redesign for 280 Woz Way, a two-towered office proposal expected to rise by the southern corner of downtown San Jose. The most notable design change is removing three sky bridges that connected between six levels. The first stages of construction are expected to begin later this year. Cupertino-based KT Urban is the project developer.
Construction has recently finished for a new Moxy Hotel at 2225 Telegraph Avenue in Downtown Oakland. Once open, the seven-story building will yield 72,615 square feet with 173 guest rooms and retail for the downtown Oakland market. Graves Hospitality is the project developer along with EJF Capital and Tidewater Capital.
