The Los Gatos City Council voted 3-2 in favor of moving forward on a large mixed-use development located at 143-151 East Main Street, just across the street from Los Gatos High School in Santa Clara County. The 52 foot tall building is brought by developers Capstack Partners, with designs by Kenneth Rodriguez and Partners.
The City of Oakland’s Planning and Building Department has approved development permits for an eight-story mixed use building on a vacant parking lot in Downtown Oakland. The narrow parking lot is located at 585 17th Street, between Clay and Jefferson. Developers FH1 Investments have brought in BDE Architecture for the project design.
Increased plans are currently under review for an eight-story residential complex to rise at 616 South B Street in Downtown San Mateo, San Mateo County. The proposal would bring nearly a hundred units to the recently closed paint store a block away from Central Park. Nazareth Enterprises is the property owner, an investment firm operating through Nazareth Vista LLC.
Updated plans have been filed for a potential skyline-reorienting project at 88 Bluxome Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The proposal aims to add two skyscrapers and 1,500 rental apartments to the former Tennis Club, reaching heights of 51 and 58 stories. Strada Investment Group is responsible for the application.
Last week, Michael Shvo showed up to his newly reopened skyscraper to unveil the contents of the once-forgotten time capsule for the Transamerica Pyramid. The memorabilia from the 51-year-old container is now on display inside the Transamerica Annex, revealing a snapshot in San Francisco’s local culture and history related to the controversial addition to the skyline. The gallery is open to the public with access from Washington Street.
