Holland Partner Group is overseeing the construction of an 18-story residential building at 277 27th Street in Northgate-Waverly, bordering Downtown Oakland. A recent site visit shows construction has topped out, and most of the exterior facade is installed. Once complete, the apartment building, called VESPR or 24th and Harrison, will bring 405 apartments and 65,000 square feet of ground-level retail.
Construction has finished for the forty-story tower at 385 14th Street in Downtown Oakland. Completed this year, the Atlas is now the second tallest building in the city and the tallest apartment building in Oakland at 400 feet. It includes 633 units on top of 17,350 square feet of retail. Carmel Partners is the developer, with Greystar managing the marketing and leasing.
Development permits have been filed and approved for a six-story residential development at 2116 Brush Street in Ralph Bunche, West Oakland. The project will transform a currently vacant parcel on Downtown Oakland’s border and just under fifteen minutes walk from the 19th Street Oakland BART station. Oak Brook Partners is responsible for the development, dubbed Villa Oakland.
New building permits have been filed for a new two-story restaurant and warehouse at 16 Toland Street, near Islais Creek in Bayview, San Francisco. The address is notable for being the victim of a four-alarm fire in March of 2020. The site was host to a locally-beloved eatery, the Bonanza Restaurant.
New building permits have been filed to construct a four-story senior housing building and community center at 70 and 76 North Winchester Boulevard, Santa Clara. These addresses are part of the multi-building mixed-use development dubbed Santa Clara Agrihood. The City entered a private-public partnership with Core Companies to construct 1.5 acres of agriculture connected to 361 homes, of which the City will sell 181 as affordable.
