Construction Topped Out for Phase One of 2352 Shattuck Avenue, Downtown Berkeley

Construction has topped out for the first of two phases of Logan Park, a residential development at 2352 Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley. The eight-story structure will have two-thirds of the 204 total apartments expected from the project, of which 14 will be sold to residents in the Very Low-Income bracket. The Austin Group and CA Ventures are the project developers.

Oakland’s Jack London Square Ballpark Masterplan Could Host Second Tallest Tower in City

Recently published documents by the City of Oakland show that the Oakland Waterfront Ballpark District project could see two 600-foot towers beside the 35,000-person ballpark. If fabricated today, they would be the tallest skyscrapers in California outside of San Francisco and Los Angeles. Hines’ 622-foot proposal for Oakland at 415 20th Street is the only proposal that would be taller. The Oakland A’s are the project developer and sponsor, operating through the Oakland Athletics Investment Group LLC.

Construction of Residence Inn by Marriott Nearly Topped Out at 2129 Shattuck Avenue, Downtown Berkeley

Construction is nearly topped out for one of Berkeley’s tallest buildings, a 168-foot hotel at 2129 Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley. Crews have begun installing the windows and exterior insulation, while the concrete core is still exposed in lieu of the curtain wall feature at the corner of Shattuck and Center Street. A rooftop canopy remains to be installed before the project can be described as topped out. The development was proposed by Center Street Partners LLC. Pyramid Hotel Group manages the project and will operate the hotel once complete under the Residence Inn by Marriott brand.

City Staff Recommends Approval for Final Development Permits of Parcel D in Brooklyn Basin, Oakland

Anton DevCo is poised to receive approval for Parcel D’s Final Development Permit along the Oakland waterfront. The proposed residential building will rise at One Ninth Avenue. Parcel D is part of the twelve-building Brooklyn Basin development master plan that is transforming an industrial portion of Oakland’s waterfront adjacent to the Jack London district. Anton DevCo is responsible for the development after purchasing the rights to develop in 2019. Signature Development and Reynolds & Brown manage the 3,100-unit masterplan for Brooklyn Basin.
