Oceanwide Center’s Construction Pauses Temporarily

Reporting by the San Francisco Business Times reveals that Oceanwide Holdings have paused construction for the much-anticipated Oceanwide Center at 50 1st Street in SoMa, San Francisco. While crews have recently completed the foundation, this announcement makes clear that the structure will not be rising soon. Once resumed, it becomes the second tallest building in Northern California and fourth tallest in the state.

Expanded Laboratory for New Sutter Health Building at Polk Gulch, San Francisco

New permits have been filed to expand laboratory space within the recently-completed Sutter Health Building in the Polk Gulch neighborhood near San Francisco’s City Hall. The facilities at 1100 Van Ness Avenue opened in May of last year. The nearly half a million-square-foot structure will soon see work on a new clinical laboratory, offices, and general facilities for the University of California San Francisco.
