Brookfield Releases New Renderings for Stonestown Redevelopment in San Francisco

Brookfield Properties has released new renderings for the $2 billion master plan to redevelop the surface parking of the Stonestown Galleria mall on the west side of San Francisco. The new illustrations compare current conditions at the mall with the proposal. The development would transform the retail center into a vibrant town center and neighborhood destination with housing and open space.

The project proposal includes the development of a four-story residential infill development. The project replaces a single-story single-unit building and surface parking with three new homes. Increased Plans Progress for 98 Franklin Street, San Francisco

New reporting by the San Francisco Chronicle shows plans for the residential tower at 98 Franklin Street are increasing residential capacity to 385 units in a deal with the city’s Board of Supervisors that will include a new affordable housing property bought by the developer for the city. The agreement was made between Supervisor Dean Preston and the developer, Related Companies.
