San Francisco Civic Design Review for Chinatown Public Health Center Renovations

Plans for the renovation of San Francisco’s Chinatown Public Health Center at 1490 Mason Street will be presented for the first time to the public on Monday, September 19th. The presentation by the city’s Public Works department will showcase a modernization of the facility above the Broadway tunnel while retaining the iconic bronze dragon relief sculpture.

Renderings have been revealed for an eight-story residential infill for 160 Freelon Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project, also addressed as 639 Bryant Street, would replace a vacant building and surface parking with 85 units of affordable housing. Related Companies is the project developer collaborating with the City and County of San Francisco. Groundbreaking is expected in 2024.
