Preliminary Permit Filed for 1526 Powell Street, Russian Hill, San Francisco

The preliminary project assessment application has been filed for a new multi-family residential development at 1526 Powell Street, in the eastern corner of Russian Hill, San Francisco. The project will rise six floors from the John J. DeLucchi Sheet Metal Works building, preserving the facade and adding twenty apartments to the San Francisco housing market. JS Sullivan Development is responsible for the project.

General Plan Referral Filed for 530 Sansome Street, Financial District, San Francisco

The General Plan Referral has been filed for The Related Companies mixed-use tower at 530 Sansome Street, a requirement ahead of a Board of Supervisors’ vote to approve. The proposal would replace Fire Station 13 in San Francisco’s Financial District. Two distinct project variants are being considered for the rest of the tower, to build either a 200-guestroom Equinox hotel with a gym and offices or 256 apartments. The development is a public-private partnership with Related, the San Francisco Bureau of Real Estate, and the San Francisco Fire Department.

The 12th tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built in the Park Tower at Transbay office building, located at 250 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The 605-foot tall project rises from Block 5 in the transformative San Francisco Transbay development plan. Goettsch Partners in collaboration with Solomon Cordwell Buenz, is responsible for the sky deck-covered skyscraper design.
