Number 18: Four Embarcadero Center, Financial District, San Francisco

The 18th tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built is Four Embarcadero Center, an iconic waterfront landmark in the San Francisco skyline. It is also the tallest of the Embarcadero Center mega-development in the Financial District and the tallest waterfront building in the region. The 570-foot tall tower rises just two feet higher than One Embarcadero Center. As with the rest of the complex, John Portman & Associates were the architects.

Meeting Scheduled For a Residence At 952 Carolina Street, Potrero Hill, San Francisco

San Francisco Planning Commission will be reviewing plans for a new residential project at 952 Carolina Street, Potrero Hill, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of a new two-unit residential building. Plans call for the demolition of an existing single-family dwelling on the site. Selander Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

New Renderings for 1525 Pine Street, Nob Hill, San Francisco

New renderings have been released along with CUA approval for 1525 Pine Street, an eight-story residential proposal with adaptive reuse of the historic Grubstake facade in Nob Hill, San Francisco. The project was approved in July. An appeal was filed last week by neighbors, though it is widely expected to fail. San Francisco-based Pine Street Development is responsible for the project.
