Crane Sections Delivered for 47-Story Tower at 30 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco

Several sections of a construction crane have been delivered yesterday afternoon to 30 Van Ness Avenue, a recently-cleared lot in San Francisco’s Civic Center. Crews finished demolition of the five-story office building this January, and now the site is primed for excavation of the city’s tallest skyscraper in the Hub, and the second tallest in the city after the Transbay Parcel F by Hines and Urban Pacific. Australia-based multinational real estate company Lendlease is the developer and contractor of the 47-story mixed-use proposal.

YIMBY Visits Serif SF and LINE Hotel at 950 Market Street, San Francisco

Last week, YIMBY toured Serif SF to visit the newly opening Solarium rooftop deck on top of the newest apartment addition to San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood. Sales have already started, with units selling at $560,000, while the LINE Hotel is preparing to open with 232 guest rooms this September. The project is the work of L37 Partners, with architecture by Handel.

New building and demolition permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project proposed at 1034 Folsom Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story building with basement. Plans call for the demolition of an existing single-story warehouse on the site.
