Construction Tops Out for 3001 24th Street Senior Housing, Mission District, San Francisco

Construction has topped out for the five-story affordable housing project at 3001 24th Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. The project will provide 45 new units for senior citizens in a retail and transit-rich thoroughfare. Mission Neighborhood Centers and Mercy Housing are responsible for the development, after purchasing it from Pepsico nearly twenty-five years ago.

Construction is moving swiftly for the revamped KQED headquarters. The long-time home for the iconic Bay Area-based media station at 2601 Mariposa Street, Mission District, is redefining itself to accommodate for their significant growth since purchasing the lot in 1991. While their personality and care for broadcasts have endeared them to the public, their new design invites the public inside. EHDD Architects, also known for the Exploratorium at Pier 15, are responsible for the design.

Affordable Housing Review Meeting Filed For 730 Stanyan Street, Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco

Permits have been filed for new affordable housing at 730 Stanyan Street in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco. The project is being handled through the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, while Tenderloin and Chinatown-based community organizations, TNDC & CCDC, will be responsible for development. The project reference Senate Bill 35 and Assembly Bill 1763 to add priority and privileges to the permit.
