The proposal is a dramatic increase from the previous plans for the site, now planning 42 apartments above the ground-floor retail next to the currently vacant Alexandria Theater. The updated plans for Sacramento Republic FC show the team is shifting away from the initial 12,000-seat iteration expected for the site toward a larger canopy-capped facility. The application comes several months after the groundbreaking ceremony held by the team last August.
