The preliminary plans suggest the construction of nearly a million square feet serving the region’s growing appetite for life sciences. Perkins&Will is responsible for the masterplan design.
The Oakland Planning Commission is scheduled to review the two project plans for 1431 Franklin Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. The property, less than half an acre, could produce nearly half a million square feet of office space or 381 new homes. For now, Tidewater Capital is pursuing entitlements for both versions, each with a different design.
A recent site visit to Treasure Island by YIMBY reveals significant progress has been made for the region’s most active construction project. Cranes and rising concrete have only started to divulge the scale of the 405-acre vision, nearly three decades in the making, that will redevelop San Francisco’s storied artificial island with a mixed-use urban neighborhood populated by around eight thousand homes. The Treasure Island Community Development joint venture sponsors the project.
New renderings have been revealed for the eight-story apartment proposed at 2601 San Pablo Avenue in Southwest Berkeley, Alameda County. The updated plans include a new design by Trachtenberg Architects with 242 new apartments above retail. NX Ventures is the project developer.
New building permits have been filed for the affordable housing and healthcare proposal at 3050 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland. The five-story project will create 76 residences and a dedicated facility for the Native American Health and Cultural Center. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates is responsible for the development.
