Crews will start by replacing a surface parking lot with a seven-story affordable housing project and a landscaped paseo. Oakland Planning Commission is scheduled to review the updated phasing for the project tomorrow afternoon.
A recent site visit by YIMBY has captured the construction progress for Aggie Square, an innovation hub rising in the UC Davis Sacramento campus. The project will create a new dense hub on campus for life sciences, education, student housing, and parking. Wexford Science & Technology and GMH Capital Partners are joint developers.
Preliminary permits were submitted earlier this month for a potential mixed-use development at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Santa Clara County. Mollie Stone’s Market has filed an alternative SB330 pre-application for the Builder’s Remedy-assisted proposal at 156 California Avenue in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The application gives minor updates to the design and parcel separation, though the applicant has specified that the prior application is not being withdrawn. Both plans, sponsored by REDCO Development, would create Palo Alto’s tallest residential building.
Development permits have been filed for a new stadium for two soccer clubs at 8000 South Coliseum Way in Coliseum, East Oakland. The project would replace a surplus parking lot within the Coliseum campus and allow the two teams to start playing in the 2025 season. The permits were filed the same day the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum board unanimously approved plans for the Oakland Athletics to negotiate a lease agreement for 2025-2026 with the teams’ owner.
